No Longer

One fine day, the flowers are blooming

the bees are hurriedly coming

the trees are sweetly swaying

with the birds joyfully chirping

You just can’t keep them apart

if you do, it will be like a broken art

Everything was in place, all at peace

but this thing came, making ’em all race

Winds are blowing fast

thunderous roars heard from above

And with the blink of an eye,

chaos came, creeping behind

The next sunshine came,

the flowers , the trees

were no longer the same

the things they hold dearly were no longer seen

same with my feelings, to the one that got away

Author’s note:

Most of the time when we share our achievements and disappointments to our parents, my father would always tell us to “Charge to experience”. What he meant by that is to always charge those experiences to our lives. It molds us to become someone who we really want. But the thing about life? its unpredictable. We thought that everything is in the right place already. Then suddenly, there are happenings that made us question ourselves and shocked us to the point of breaking down. If we let that happen, we lose.

This is a friendly reminder, that we may break, fall or tripped but we should always do our best to stand up and get back on track. To be able to do that, let go of all those lingering feelings first so that you can continue living the life you desire. Every experience is a lesson charged to our lives.
